What other fees do vendors pay besides the booth?

How to budget for a booth

  1. Check the base fee and what it includes. Most events in our sample rent bare space, so plan to bring your own tent, tables and chairs.
  2. Add the extra fees. Include the application or jury fee, a corner or electricity add-on, sales tax and any late fee. At Ocala Arts Festival, a standard booth plus the jury fee is $350.
  3. Add the costs you supply yourself. Count your tent and weights, tables, signage, insurance if the event requires it, travel, and a hotel for multi-day shows.
  4. Work out your break-even sales. Divide your total cost by your profit margin. If the show costs you $350 all in and you keep 50% of each sale, you need $700 in sales to break even.

How we collected these fees

In November 2026 we searched organizer websites, vendor applications and fee sheets for markets, craft fairs and festivals in 14 cities around Ocala: Marion, Alachua, Levy, Lake, Sumter, Citrus and Hernando counties. We kept a fee only if the organizer published it, on their own site or on the application platform they use (such as EntryThingy, Eventeny or Jotform). We left out fees we saw only in search snippets, aggregator listings or other articles. That leaves 20 events across six event types, for shows held from January 2026 to February 2027. Several Ocala-area events don't publish their fees, so they aren't included.

We ran a scan of these sources on November 8, 2026 and recorded each fee as the organizer published it. Where a site disagrees with itself, we used the price marked for the current year. For example, Mount Dora Craft Fair's exhibitor page lists 2026 fees of $375, while its FAQ page still says $350.

We'll update the table each season. If you run one of these events and a fee has changed, or you want your event's fee included, email us from the About page or list your event for free.
